Detox Diet and Weight Loss
Detox diets is becoming more and more popular among the people these days, especially among the Hollywood fraternity. Some of those diets are tend to be a lot more time-consuming, exhausting and grueling, while some of them are pretty easier to follow. The best way to start is to begin with your kitchen pantry itself. Below are given some simple yet effective methods of detoxification that can help you a lot in reducing your weight and that also within 7-10 days.
Water and Lemon
The first thing you should do in the morning is to drink about 12 oz of warm water. But don’t forget to squeeze a few drops from fresh lemon into that water. Lemon is very helpful in activating the liver to release all kinds of toxins out from the body. It also helps in moving all those roughage that got blocked somewhere in your intestine. You can further step up the process of detoxification by taking probiotics or acidophilus on your empty stomach.
Meal
You should only eat the meal that is composed of foods meant to help the process of detoxification. You can freely use brown rice, bran cereal or other whole grains as long as they are unbleached and are devoid of any chemicals or added sugar. You can also drink organic milk that is fat free and unflavored soy milk. In order to maximize the effects of detoxification on your weight, you can eat any combination of brown ice, vegetables, organic chicken, beans, soy products, oat bran and turkey.
But don’t go on eating without assessing how the different combinations affect your goal of weight loss. After finishing your meal, if you don’t feel satisfied and quite energized then you need to change your combination. On the other hand, if you feel sluggish and tired after finishing your meal, then you should immediately cut down on the size of your meals. Never overwhelm your digestive system as this can have a negative impact on detoxification.
Going Green
In order to expedite the processes of detoxification and weight loss, you must eat several servings of green leafy vegetables throughout your meals. Leafy green vegetables boost the entire mechanism of your body. For example: increase in the red blood cells production and improvement in detoxification, oxygenation and circulation. If you are not very fond of salads, you can cook the vegetables or can extract the juice out of them. Still, the best way is to eat them raw.
If you want, you can also sweeten the raw vegetables with cuttings of apple. You can also buy your vegetable juices from the market, buy you need to make sure that they don’t contain any added salt or synthetic chemicals. Some of the good examples of green leafy vegetables are:
